Nick Klein is an electronic music artist originally hailing from the United States, now based in Berlin. He is interested in loud volume as form, and the sociology and ideology that presents in self-identifying music subcultures. His work investigates these tropes through touring extensively in Europe, Canada, and the US, as well as organizing performances for artists who operate on the fringe territories of experimental music circles. As a recording artist, Klein has worked with iDEAL Recordings, L.I.E.S., Viewlexx, BANK, Alter, Monorail Trespassing, Unknown Precept, Angoisse, and Ascetic House amongst others in the global underground. He continues to expand his studio practice by writing for Swiss magazine Zweikommasieben, hosting a monthly radio project for Montez Press, and curating his Psychic Liberation imprint, all while currently in the Sound Studies and Sonic Arts program at The Universität der Künste Berlin.
